

On Friday, April 24, while listening to her husband read her favorite Psalms, Dianne Gala Davis passed over to her new life eternal. Born on December 1, 1934 to Pearl (Burmester) and Arnold Priester. Dianne was a graduate and avid Michigan State Fan. She graduated with a degree in law enforcement and worked for the Ann Arbor Police Department and later was the first female Sheriff Deputy for Washtenaw County. Dianne also received a Master Degree from Eastern Michigan University and later in her career worked for the Friend of the Court as an enforcement agent. After retiring from Law Enforcement Dianne was elected to the Village of Clinton City Council – a seat she held for 20 years.
Dianne was a lifelong Lutheran, a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor MI and most recently Lord of Life Lutheran in Holland, MI.
Dianne was preceded in Death by her parents, and grandson Nicholas Davis. She is survived by her Husband of 57 years Glenn Eugene Davis, Her children Carrie (Steven) Childerston of Holland MI, Glenn (Janine) Davis of Livonia MI, Owen (Cheryl) Davis of Whitmore Lake MI. Grandchildren Lauren (Kory) Plockmeyer, Nicole Childerston, Max Davis, Michael Cote, Julia, Jacob and Madeline Sawecki. Great Granddaughters Shiloh Dianne Plockmeyer and Lily Cote. Her brother Donald (Connie) Priester of Wales MI and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and Family will gather on both sides of the state to celebrate Dianne’s life.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, May 2nd from 2-5pm at the home of their Daughter and Son-in-Law, Steven and Carrie Childerston. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, May 3rd, at 1:00pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church, in Ann Arbor, MI, with Pastor Douglas Hartley officiating. A Memorial Service was held Monday, April 27th, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Holland, with Pastor Ronald Kruse officiating.
Dianne never wanted people to fuss over her. She enjoyed her life on the sidelines and yet she was critically influential to all who knew her. Of her life and death she would want all to know this truth – Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.
She is now living in that Love and Peace.
