Loving mother of Yen Tran and Hung Vo, Tony Tran and My Pham, Quyen (David) Beckman, Anh Lan (Brad) Kraywinkel. Proud grandmother of Tony (deceased), Sonny, Mai, Thy, Cameron, Lan, and Khanh. A dear sister to her siblings in the United States, Canada, and Vietnam.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thau Tran, in 2021.
Dung was born in Saigon, Vietnam, to parents Duc Huynh and Lam Diep, the oldest of eight children. She immigrated to the United States in 1993. She was well known as a humanitarian for her help to promote continuous education in remote rural Vietnam. She loves sewing and knitting; everyone in the family has many pieces of hand-made PJ pants or winter hats. Her latest project before passing was sewing clothes for children in Africa.
She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and devotion to her family. Nothing made her happier than family gatherings, visits from her children, and grandchildren. She loved cooking traditional Vietnamese foods and constantly tried new methods she learned online.
Her legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on through those whose lives were touched by her presence. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St, Holland, MI 49424. A private burial will take place at a later date.
