Hollis Irvan Halstead

Hollis was a veteran of WWII, serving in the army. He was a member of Christ Memorial Church in Holland, the VFW and the DAV. Hollis retired from Baker Furniture of Holland.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Annagene Halstead in 2014; parents, Charles and Elizabeth; sisters, Lula VanderVere, Clara Sniff, Violet Halstead; and brother Lloyd Halstead.

Surviving are his children: Karen and Les Tucker of Holland, Nancy Snyder of Zeeland, Tim and Sherri Halstead of Hamilton; Grandchildren, Robyn (Taiyoh) Afrik, Cody (Sarah) Tucker, Matt Snyder, Holly Snyder, Courtney Halstead, Trista (Mike) Kimber; great-grandchildren: Tabahn, Ayisha and Tai Afrik, Karly and Rylee Kimber; Sister: Wilma Halstead of Holland, Brothers and Sisters in law: Jim and Liz Knoll of Reading, MI, Marge and Paul Streur of Holland.

A memorial service will be 11:00am Saturday, April 30, 2016 "in the sanctuary" at Christ Memorial Church, 595 Graafschap Road in Holland. Burial will be at Graafschap Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Hospice.

The family would like to thank Spectrum Hospice and American House – Boardwalk for their care and compassion during Hollis’ care.
