Jasper "Jack" Nykamp

Jasper "Jack" Nykamp, age 93, of Zeeland, passed away on February 3, 2024. Jack was born in Bentheim, MI on March 22, 1930 to Hermina and Henry Nykamp. He was a member of Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church. Jack loved to work! He drove a truck for 43 years along with many cleaning and side jobs. In later years, he would often tell his children how he would like to go back to work.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosella and two infant children, Bonnie and Bruce (1959); son, Robert Nykamp; son in law, Jim VanTil; brothers, Julius Nykamp (Lorraine) and Karl Nykamp (Una); sister, Fenna Lenters (George); brothers and sisters in law, Melvin Hirdes (Marilyn) and Dolores Klingenberg (Paul).

He is survived by his second wife Charlene and his children, Barbara VanTil of Zeeland; Michele Cioffi (Kim) of Holland, Philip Nykamp (Kimberly) of Holland; 12 Grandchildren; many Great-Grandchildren; brother, Harris Nykamp (Alma) of Florida; brothers and sisters in law, Calvin Hirdes (Donna) of Holland and Karen Breuker (Robert) of Holland.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 6th from 5 to 7 pm at Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 259 Central Ave, Holland, MI 49423. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 7 at 1pm at Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church. Reverend Chad Steenwyk will be officiating. Burial will be in held privately at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
