Juan Morales was born in Post, Texas. He grew up during a time where music was played on vinyl and movies were filmed in two colors. He met his wife Juanita and eloped at the age of sixteen. Together they had two sons Juan Jr. and Roberto Morales. They moved from Brownfield, Texas to Holland, Michigan where he worked at Heinz for twenty years. There he was known as “Papa Juan”.
He liked trucks, but loved horses more. He was a big fan of the Detroit Tigers, because The Chicago Cubs could never win. He enjoyed watching John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, because they were the only Superheroes he ever knew. Hunting and fishing were his favorite hobbies. Which is why he could tell you the deer where bigger up north, but the fish better down south. And the only thing he loved more than his children was his wife and God.
Juan passed away in his home after battling Parkinson's. He was eighty six. He joins: his wife Juanita Morales, his mother and father, his son Jr, three brothers and two sisters, and his grandsons R.J. and John Paul Morales. He leaves behind: his son Roberto Morales, fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great great grandson and many other extended loved ones.
Juan was a simple, humble, and Godly man. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
