Kenneth Jay Walters

Kenneth Walters, age 73, passed away very unexpectedly at Holland Hospital and into the loving hands of Jesus on Monday, September 5, 2016. He was born in 1942 in Holland to John and Jenny (Hemmeke) Walters and later graduated from Holland Christian High School, where he played basketball and tennis. Ken was a graduate of both Davenport University and Ferris State University and was a veteran of the US Army. Ken retired from insurance sales; he loved the outdoors and was devoted to his family. He was very happily married to Jeanette (Weeks) Walters the love of life for 50 years. Ken especially loved his five grandchildren. He was loved by all of his family and friends and will be greatly missed!

Ken is survived by his wife Jeanette (Jan), his children Carrie (Scott) Groleau, Mark (Staci) Walters, his grandchildren Brayden, Kaleb, and Addison Groleau, Bryson and Lauren Walters and brother Paul Walters.

A celebration of Ken’s life will be Sunday, September 11, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Benjamin’s Hope, 15468 Riley St., Holland, MI. Visitation will be Saturday, September 10, 4-7 p.m. at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland, MI.
