2 Corinthians 5:8 - 8 " We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord."
Tootie truly loved the Lord and her family. She loved many things in life but was a dedicated mother first and foremost. Her favorite thing was spending time with her kids and grandkids and hearing them all call her “Grams” filled her with joy. Tootie was hard-working and through her many years worked as a waitress, pharmacy clerk, fabric cutter and baker. She finally retired at 80 years young, may she now rest in peace. Tootie volunteered at Community Action House Food Pantry. She shared her love with food, everyone enjoyed Sunday dinners at Mom’s and her potato salad was a family favorite. Tootie enjoyed going to garage sales, and thrifting, leaving many things behind that no one knows what to do with it. Gardening, taking walks, and spending time outside in her yard was a way for her to relax and soak up the sunshine, which she loved. Over the years, she has taken several trips to Florida, Arizona, Caribbean, Mexico and loved going on cruises.
Our Mom was the strongest women we’ve ever met. Everyone knew where you stood with her, she wasn’t afraid of anyone or anything. Until her health condition made it impossible, she insisted on mowing her own lawn until she was 85. Mom, Grams, you were our family ROCK, the glue that held us together and our comfort when we needed clarity. You were always someone we could count on; you always got your point across and gave us 110%. Because of you, we have the hearts of a lion, the love of our family and an insane work ethic that has served us all well.
She was preceded in death by her son Kelly.
Tootie is survived by her children Shawn (Bruce) Bronkema, Jill Fischer, and Bill (Tammy) Fischer. She is also survived by grandchildren Kelli Jo, Kyle, Ryan, Eli, Grayson, Stratton, and Christopher; great-grandchildren Kassondra, Adam, Abby, Manuel, Breliya, Addison, Paulie, and Kaelyn. Also surviving are great-great grandchildren Carter, Hunter, and Brady.
Proverbs 31:29 “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance."
We love you more than words can express and are going to miss you beyond comprehension, yet we are glorifying God knowing you are resting in the arms of Jesus, may you now rest in his presence and live in his peace for eternity. May we always remember your weekly phone calls and the first question that you would ask… “Yah say, what are you doing?”
1 John 14:27 "I am leaving you a gift – a peace of mind and heart."
A Celebration of Life for Tootie is being planned for a later date.
