Merle Ruth Ogden

Merle Ruth Ogden (McDougall), passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, in her home in Holland, Michigan. At Merle's request no services will be held. Merle was born in Douglas, Michigan on January 11, 1942. She married on August 10, 1984, to the love of her life Mo Ogden.

Merle was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Shirley, her sisters Jackie and Pat. She is survived by her brother Jack, sister Kathy, daughter Cara and son Greg. She is also survived by her three children through marriage Larra, John, and Mort. Merle and Mo were blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Merle retired after a successful career as a saleswoman. She took her passion for her career and went on mission trips with Mo building houses for the less fortunate and those in need. She loved playing the slot machines with the big jackpots and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy with Mo. She also loved traveling South with Mo to spend her winters in the warm sun. Merle was a great friend to many and was always there to lend a hand, heart or ear to others when they were in need. Merle lived a beautiful, full life and will be missed by family, friends, and by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held July 26, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Holland Moose, 106 South River Ave. Holland, MI 49423.
