With much sadness, the family of Michael L. Drumm announces his passing on June 2, 2018. He leaves behind his heartbroken wife; Cindy, of nearly 18 years, sisters; Mary (Richard) Ghastin of Williamston, Ann LaHaine of Lansing, nephew; Christian LaHaine, nieces; (the rats), Nichole, Michelle and Amy. He also leaves behind his four legged babies which he loved to spoil rotten. Michael enjoyed the simple things in life, going to farmers markets, green houses, cooking and taking to his beloved dogs to the beach. He loved working in the yard and landscaping.
In 2012 he began his fight with cancer and was doing well until recently. Michael was employed at Ryder Logistics in Lansing. He worked there for several years until he was forced to retire in April of this year due to illness. He loved his job and all of his coworkers. He always had stories about work, especially his buddies Red and Mark. He thought the world of them.
A huge Thank You, to Dr. Carol Rapson, Kasandra Risch and the team at Red Cedar Oncology in Lansing. Michael adored each and every one of you and we thank you for always giving us hope and encouragement. Your kindness and love is so appreciated. Also, Thank You to Holland Hospital, ICU-your kindness goes without saying.
Although Michael will be missed tremendously, his spirit will live on in all of us who loved him. It’s his time to begin a new journey with those that’s left this life ahead of us. We’ll be together again my "Squirrel" but I sure will miss you.
