Nancy Ruth Dick

Nancy Dick, 63, passed away at her home surrounded by her family and into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. She was a beautiful woman inside and out who had a gentle and kind spirit. Nancy was loved and will be greatly missed by all.

Nancy especially enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren who lit up her life. She loved to paint landscapes and enjoyed riding the motorcycle with her husband, Steve. She worked at Hope College and enjoyed the campus and many friendships she made at Hope.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents William and Angeline Bosma. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Steve; her children Deborah (Mark) McAlpine, Dennis Dick, Bill (Michelle) Dick, Lee (Angie) Dick, Julie (Benjamin) Bond; grandchildren Emily, Sarah, and Jenny McAlpine, Makayla and Levi Dick, Hannah, Paul, Laura and Everett Dick, Hunter Murr, Daisy, Lily and Journey Bond; great-grandchildren Abigail and Jaxson Bichler. She is also survived by her siblings Nelson (Ruth) Bosma, Bonnie (Glen) Beekman, Kathy (Larry) Kender, Jeff (Marilee) Bosma, Terry (Shelly) Bosma; sister and brother-in-laws Anne (Larry) Marrin, John (Michele) Dick.

A memorial service will be at 12 noon, Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Harlem Reformed Church, 6854 144th Ave., Holland. Visitation will be 10-11:30 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Harlem Reformed Church or consider paying forward an act of kindness in Nancy’s name.
