

Dick was born on July 10, 1931, to Norman and Genevieve (Geagan) Heinrich in St. Louis, Missouri. He is survived by his beloved wife Jane. They were married in 1973 (51 years) in Annapolis, Maryland where both were working at the United States Naval Academy. Dick proudly served in the United States Navy on five continents and in both the Korean and Vietnam war. He retired with many medals and awards after 24 years of service with the rank of Command Master Chief. He then worked for the federal government for 16 years with the federal communications commission in Allegan and the United States Postal Service in Holland, Michigan. His final employment was 10 years at the Holland 58th District Court as a bailiff.
Dick is survived by: his wife, Jane; children, Dave (Tina), and Steve (Rachael); grandchildren, Joshua (Ashley), Taylor, Hayley, Ben, Hannah, Marina, Austin, Callen (Ben), and Tanna; great grandchildren, Kora and Odin.
Dick was preceded in death by: his parents, Norman Sr. and Genevieve; son, Daniel; and grandson, Micah.
A visitation for Dick will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland, Michigan 49424, followed by a funeral service with Military Honors at 11:00 AM.
