Olive D. Davies, age 96, of Holland (Grand Rapids) went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 22, 2018. Olive was born on December 7, 1921 to Peter and Cynthia Eernisse in Hingham, Wisconsin. After she and her husband moved their family to Holland, Michigan in 1957, she was a pediatric nurse at Holland Hospital. She was a member of Faith Christian Reformed Church in Holland.
Olive was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, in 2009 and her son-in-law, Jim Lise in 2017. Olive is survived by her children Mark and Judy Davies of Penney Farms, FL, Jane Lise of Townsend, Ontario Canada, Calvin and Jan Davies of London, Ontario Canada, Paul and Nancy Davies of Shelbyville (Gun Lake) MI and by 14 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brother-in-law Henry Neefhof of Cedar Grove, WI and by many nieces and nephews across the United States.
Interment will be in the Graafschap Cemetery, Holland, on October 26, 2018. A memorial service will be held on December 8, 2018 at10:30 AM at Faith Christian Reformed Church, West 26th Street, Holland, with Pastor Tony Louwerse officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Holland Free Health Clinic in Holland, where Olive and her husband volunteered for many years after their retirements.
