Raymond Erwin DeVries

Raymond was born on January 22nd, 1934 to Joseph and Gizena (Keizer) DeVries in Chicago, IL. He grew up there and went on to join the United States Navy and served his country in the Korean War. Ray met Helen Haveman and was married for 63 years. Ray was a salesman at Masonite Corporation for 34 years. He excelled at his profession. Ray enjoyed flower gardening and photography.

Ray is survived by: Helen and their children and grandchildren; Renee DeVries, Emily and Andrew Paterson; Lisa and Bill Aukeman, Marenta and Patrick Klinger, Case and Christine Aukeman, Pieter Aukeman; Timothy DeVries (Tim and Raeann), Tamara and Chris Tuinstra, Tyler, Peighton and Chase; this also includes 5 great grandchildren; brother Joe and Joyce DeVries.

Ray was preceded in death by: his parents, Joseph and Gizena DeVries, siblings, Betty and Clarence Rusthoven, Robert and June DeVries, and Ken and Kathy DeVries.

The family is very thankful to Holland Hospital ER team and the Spectrum Health staff for the amazing care and compassion to Ray!
