Shirley loved and followed Jesus and everyone who knew her experienced Jesus' love through the smiles and laughter she shared with them.
She enjoyed boating, going to the beach, camping up-north, and traveling to California with her husband.
Her focus and priority was on her family and it brought her joy to care for them. She always made holidays, birthdays, and family dinners extra special.
She loved kids; especially babies! She was always interested in what her grandchildren, and great grandchildren, were up to; whatever state they were in. She spent lots of time playing with her grandchildren as they grew up, attending their school events, and cheering for them as they competed in various sports.
The special memories the family has of her will always be remembered.
The family finds comfort knowing she is now singing her favorite hymns in Heaven.
Survived by her husband, Rich Huizinga; children, Lisa and Steve VanderZwaag, Kimberly and Dave Lenderink, Derek and Stephanie Huizinga; grandchildren, Cory and Cassie VanderZwaag(Vera), Marissa and Tyler Alvarez, Nolan and Jordyn VanderZwaag(Parker), Sean Lenderink, Cory Hollar, and Anthony Huizinga; Brothers and sisters -in-law, Bob Lubben, Linda (Huizinga) and Matt Elenbaas, and Ben and Myrna Huizinga.
