

Stanley was born in Holland October 10, 1931 to Gerrit and Johanna (Van Voorst) Beckman. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in Germany. Stan and his wife Shirley were members of Grace Reformed Church, where he served as an Elder, Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He worked in quality control in the Pharmaceutical field until his retirement. In retirement, Stan and Shirley enjoyed spending time at their summer home in Ludington. Stan enjoyed the game of golf (playing and watching) and meeting with friends for coffee at Dutch Delite Bakery. Shirley preceded him in death in November of 2019 after over 60 years of marriage.
He is survived by his Son Bill and Connie Beckman; Daughter Cari Beckman; Grandsons: Andrew Beckman, Phillip and Kelly Beckman; Great-granddaughters Savannah & Hadley Beckman; Brothers Roger, Allen and Gary (Ruth), Sister Arlene Jacobs, Sister in law Carol (Pete) Kramer and many extended family members and friends.
Stanley was also preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Beckman, sister Carol (Dick Schermer), brother in law John Jacobs.
Funeral services will be 12noon Monday, July 11, 2022 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Monday, from 11:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
