Suzanne was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Carl F. and Iva Lou Herman. She was a 1943 graduate of Shortridge High School and attended Indiana University, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority.
Suzanne worked in fine jewelry retail in Indianapolis, where she also volunteered at the Indiana State Museum and was active in Christian education at both Fairview and Northminster Presbyterian Churches before moving to Holland, Michigan in 2010.
Suzanne married David Lawson Isler on November 5, 1949. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2014, after 64 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband and parents, Suzanne was predeceased by her Sister, Dorothy Tremps.
Surviving Suzanne are her children David F. (Joyce) Isler of Columbus, Ohio and Mary Ann (Bryant) Eckert of West Olive, Michigan. Also surviving are granddaughters, Renee Marie Isler of Hainan, China, and Erin Lindsey (Mike) Basgier of Keezletown, Virginia, and great grandsons Griffin Michael Basgier and Callan Joseph Basgier also of Keezletown, as well as several loved nieces.
A private graveside service will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana, at a later date.
