Tom served as a police officer in Ferrysburg and Coopersville. Later he was in charge of security at Parke Davis. Tom was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to be in the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Mildred DeBoer, and his brother Ronald.
Tom is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nelda; children, Michael DeBoer, Matthew DeBoer, Lynelle (Steward) Voght; 1 grandson, Steward Thomas Voght; 2 sisters, JoAnn Holman and Nancy (Rob) Smith; Sisters-in-law, Darlene (Dean) Merritt; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A time of visitation to remember Tom’s life will be 5-8:00pm, Friday, May 15, 2015 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland.
