Bill lived a life defined by passion, generosity, and joy. He embraced the world with a love of speed-whether racing sailboats, pushing a Porsche to its limits, or carving down NASTAR slopes. His enthusiasm was contagious, his spirit adventurous, and his presence unforgettable.
Bill was quick with a joke and even quicker to lend a hand. He found purpose in helping others and delight in sharing moments of laughter. Above all, Bill truly enjoyed his
family. He treasured watching his grandchildren in their many activities, and he cherished time spent together around a table eating, drinking, and savoring the simple
pleasures of being with the people he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents William A. and Eloise (Cunningham) White.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Winnie; his son BJ (Tracey); his daughter Missy Baldwin (Brendt); and his grandchildren Megan, Allison, Josh , Bryce, and Makenzie; brother John White (Nancy) and sister Barb James (Jimmy); many extended family and friends. He was loved deeply and will be missed profoundly.
Bill's legacy lives on in the wake of every boat he raced, in the tracks he carved on the mountain, in the gleam of every open road-and most of all, in the hearts of his family
and friends. May his memory be a blessing, and may we honor him by living with the same warmth, humor, and zest he brought to every day.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be directed to Corewell Health Hospice. It's a wonderful organization that helped Bill in this difficult time.
A visitation will be January 26, 2026 from 1-3:00pm, with a service to celebrate his life at 3:00pm immediately following.
