Adele Marie Mijares

Our beloved Mother, Adele Marie Mijares died on June 20, 2012 at the age of 89. She was born in La Ceiba, Honduras. Adele met her future husband, Julio Mijares in Guatemala. While they lived in Panama, she worked for Pan American Airlines.

Following their move to the U.S. in 1952, she worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company. Adele and Julio raised their family in North Miami Beach, before retiring to Lake Placid, Florida in 1978. Most recently she resided in Davie, Florida.

She is survived by her two daughters Pat Johnsen & Julieanne Mijares, her brother and sister in law Joseph & Sharon Mijares, her nieces and nephews Rob and Cynthia Mijares and their son Robby, Rick & Eileen Mijares, Steve Sutton, Donnell Sutton and his daughter Ashley Sutton. Steve and Joy Anteen and their children Alex, Ryan, Alyssa and Christian.

There will never be a Mother more cherished, more loved or missed than our Mother, Adele Marie Mijares. We are so grateful for knowing her and having the honor of being her daughters.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 28 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Fred Hunter's at 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, Florida.

Funeral Mass will be on Friday, June 29 at 10:00 a.m. at St. David Catholic Church at 3900 S. University Drive, Davie, FL Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
