Snyder, Amy, 68, of Davie, FL passed away on August 23, 2021. Amy was born to Bill & Margery Snyder on August 11, 1953 in Columbus, OH. She would be the oldest of 5 children. At 2 years old she and her parents moved to South Florida. As she grew older she became a member of Davie Methodist Youth Group & Choir. She attended Nova High School and then transferred to Hollywood Hills High School where she graduated in 1972. She enjoyed making her own clothes in the latest styles & fashion.

On June 22, 1982 in Davie, FL she became the proud loving mother to her only child Melissa Nicole. As a single mother Amy's world revolved around her daughter and they enjoyed camping and learning about nature together. In 1995 Melissa moved with Amy to Georgia and Amy bought a large farm. She and Melissa acquired many animals including Amy's beloved chickens. In 2001 Amy moved back to Davie, FL to take care of her parents and has lived in that same home until her death on August 23, 2021 of cancer.

She had two grandchildren Archer William and Hazel Elizabeth Pedersen who dearly loved their "Mimi". Amy was a doting grandmother. 

In her last years she became a member of many ecology associations as well as obtaining her certificates as a Master Naturalist and Master Gardener. She was an active member of the Broward County Butterfly Chapter and Native Plant Society.

In her passing those who mourn her are her daughter Melissa Nicole Snyder; son in-law Craig Pedersen; grandchildren Archer William Pedersen & Hazel Elizabeth Pedersen; 1 sister; 3 brothers; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
