

Anthony Frank "Tony" Madias, 26, of Davie, Florida formerly of Hollywood, Florida died as a result of an automobile accident on Saturday morning, May 12, 2012, on his way to work in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Anthony was born in Hollywood, Florida on September 9, 1985, son of George Nicholas and Theresa (Muscarello) Madias. He was raised in Hollywood and graduated as a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society from South Broward High School with the class of 2004. He played football and was a member of the wrestling team. While in high school, Anthony was a member of the band in which he received the All State Music Award as a Percussionist. Following high school, Anthony continued his studies at the University of South Florida where he majored in Criminology, Anthropology and Sociology and graduated Magna Cum Laude. While attending college, Anthony volunteered at the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Tampa Bay. He was presented with an Ambassador Award in 2008 by the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization for all the dedication and service he provided to the youth of Tampa Bay. He completed his master's degree in Criminology in 2012 and was recently accepted with a full scholarship for the Public Administration Doctoral Program at Florida Atlantic University. His goal was to enter law enforcement.
At the time of his death, Anthony was working with the Park and Recreation Department of Broward County. A lover of animals, Tony enjoyed gourmet cooking, held a brown belt in Karate and was an avid arborist.
In addition to his father and mother, Nick and Theresa Madias, he leaves his grandmother, Mrs. Theresa Muscarello, brother, Nick Madias and his fiance Angela Rodgers, sister, Melissa Madias, nephew Niko Madias. and his longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth "Tabby" Rehse. Also survived by his aunt Allena and her husband Henry Maciorowsk, aunt Rosie Muscarello, uncles Frank, Robert and Michael Muscarello and many friends and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Frank Muscarello and paternal grandparents, Nicholas George and Audrey Madias and his beloved dog Petey.
Visitation on Wednesday, May 16th from 5:00 ~ 8:00 P.M. at the Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Garden Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. A funeral service to be held on Thursday, May 17th at 10 A.M. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Garden Cemetery and Mausoleum.
