Barbara B. Williams, went home to be with the Lord on September 1, 2018 unexpectedly at 91 years old and was surrounded by family and friends at her hospital bedside. Although she had multiple health issues over the last several years, her resilience was miraculous. Barbara Ann, a daughter given by the Lord to Forest and Mary Bogan, was born and raised in Warren, Ohio on May 5, 1927. Barbara graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1945. After graduation she worked at Packard Electric, Division of General Motors Corp. where she met her future husband, William G. Williams, while carpooling to work. They were married on May 7, 1948 in Warren, Ohio at the First Baptist Church and shared sixty years together before the Lord called Bill home to heaven.
Barbara raised three children with her husband, Bill. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Warren for many years. Then in 1970, Barbara and Bill moved their family to south Florida and purchased AA Sales, Inc. in Hialeah, which they turned into a successful business that continued for 45 years. Barbara served as Secretary-Treasurer working long hours managing the bookkeeping and finances for the company. She later served as Vice-President and then President of AA Sales, Inc. Along with working and raising her family, Barbara became an active member of Florida Bible Church and was involved in the ministries of Florida Bible College and Christian School for many years. Barbara knew that all we have is the Lords and we are just stewards of it. Her business, house, and possessions were all dedicated to the Lord to further the work of Jesus. She served on the board of Stonecroft Ministries and held Bible studies at her home. In later years she was an active member of First Baptist Church of Hollywood and involved with Bible Study Fellowship for several years. Barbara did not fear death because as a young child, she believed that Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again in order to pay for her sins and give her eternal life in heaven. Ephesians 2:8-9 became her favorite verse as an adult and she would share it with others, so they would understand that salvation is a gift, we can never earn it, and we only accept it by faith through Jesus's grace.
Preceding her in death was her husband, William G. Williams; her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Dahringer; Ruth Irene Bryant; and her oldest son Douglas G. Williams. Barbara is survived and loved by her son William D. Williams, his wife Jane of Detroit, MI. ; daughter Joy Beth Williams of Hollywood, FL.; daughter-in-law Cathy Williams of Plantation, FL.; grandson Douglas G. Williams Jr., his wife Caroline , great grandson Samuel and great granddaughter Naomi of Bristol, England; grandson Paul Allen Williams and his wife Susie of Davis, CA.
