Brooklyn loved to dance, sing, and play. Her love of music brought smiles and joy to everyone around her. Her favorites were Christmas songs, which she could sing all year round. She had a passion for animals, especially giraffes. She cared for all her stuffies, giving them checkups and shots to ensure they were healthy. She would say she wanted to be an animal doctor. She loved her two cats, Remi and Ophelia. Remi always lay next to her while she played. They even took naps together in her bed. When Bowie, our golden retriever, came into our lives, she loved to laugh at his silliness.
Brooklyn had a love for everything outdoors. She loved watching the bees, rabbits, butterflies, and birds in our yard. She loved to smell the flowers we grew in the backyard. She helped Daddy plant them for her garden. When you think of Brooklyn and a breeze gently caresses your face; think of her happy, dancing, and giggling.
Brooklyn's heart was bigger than her. She showed us the true beauty of life and what it is to love and appreciate every moment with the ones we love the most. An old soul, she brought smiles to everyone around her. We couldn't be more proud of her as parents. She was and will always be the best three years of our lives.
Brooklyn is survived by her parents, Anthony and Darline Medina, and her grandparents, Anthony and Joan Medina, Martin and Kim Soto, and Marta Torres. The family of Brooklyn Rose Medina wishes to extend our sincere thanks to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Nemours Children's Hospital, Cornerstone Hospice Care, Nicklaus Children's Hospital, and Trustbridge Hospice. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to https://p2p.thecurestartsnow.org/2528 to help fund DIPG research.
