Carmelo Gioco, 90, of Hollywood, FL, died on March 31, 2010. He was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on April 22, 1919. Carmelo is survived by Louise, his wife of 65 years; daughters Ernestine Scharf, Gail Perko Farkas, son Philip Gioco and sons-in-law Alan Scharf and David Farkas; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 4th from 5 pm to 8 pm at Fred Hunters Funeral Home, 6301 Taft St., Hollywood. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, April 5th at Nativity Catholic Church, 5220 Johnson Street, Hollywood, FL, followed by burial at Forest Lawn Central Cemetery, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
