

Carmen was born in the Bronx, New York to Eulalia and George Serrano. Carmen grew up in the Bronx with her younger sister Lillian until she met and later married the love of her life Edward Fahey on November 17, 1956 at the age of 21. They later moved to South Florida in the late 60’s to raise their family.
During her time in the Bronx Carmen was a court stenographer until she became a stay-at-home mom to raise her three children Suzanne, Kevin, and Brian in South Florida.
Carmen was a loving woman who enjoyed dancing, traveling, cooking both Italian and Spanish dishes, singing, playing mahjong with friends, and spending time with her family. She was a caring wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, godmother, cousin, and friends to so many.
Carmen is preceded in death by her husband Edward Fahey, her parents, Eulalia and George Serrano, and her son, Kevin Fahey.
Carmen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Donald Kitchen, her Son Brian Fahey, her grandchildren Tiffany, Brittany, and Donnie, and her sister and brother-in-law Lillian and Jimmy Rodriguez, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren.
Carmen will be remembered for her infectious sense of humor, laughter, her giving heart, her love for God, and her immense joy for life.
The Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 16th from 4:00- 8:00 pm at Fred Hunter’s on Taft Street in Hollywood. 6301 Taft St, Hollywood, FL 33024
The funeral services will be held on Monday, January 17th at 11:00 am at Fred Hunter’s Cemetery.
