Charles “Charley” Coffaro passed away on June 11, 2021 after a long, courageous battle. He was at home surrounded by his immediate family and loved ones. Charley was born in Brooklyn, New York to Anthony “Tony” and Anna Coffaro. He was married to the love of his life, Edna, for 51 years, an exceptional father to his four daughters, and affectionately known as “Pepa” to his seven grandchildren. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, employed by Pan Am Airlines for almost twenty-five years, and a longtime resident of Hollywood, Florida.
Charley is survived by his wife Edna; children, Ann-Marie, Edna and Rob, Charlene, and ToniAnn and Carlos; grandchildren, Daniel, Jacob, Sophia, Carlos, Anthony, Zachary, and Carliann; brothers, Augustine and Emily, Anthony and Eleanor (deceased), Robert (deceased) and Paul and Antoinette. He is also lovingly remembered by his many cousins, nieces, nephews, God-children, “adopted” children and grandchildren, friends, neighbors, and anyone who has ever met him.
The Coffaro family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Todd Kazdan, Dr. Kathleen Kazdan, their staff, and Broward County Vitas Hospice care team, especially, Shirley, Marlin, Jodi, and Dr. Saad for the most compassionate care and attending to all his needs.
