

Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on August 7, 1959, Chris was the fourth of six children born to Carmen P. and Mary B. (DeCavalcanti) DeSimone. Raised in Clark, New Jersey, Chris graduated from A.L. Johnson Regional High School, class of 1977. He furthered his education, graduating cum laude with a bachelor's degree in fine arts from Kean University in 1981.
Among his many accomplishments was competing as a finalist in the 1994 Vidal Sassoon International Streetstyle competition held during New York Fashion Week. He also received the 1981 Award for Illustration from the New Jersey Art Directors Club.
Chris was an extremely talented fashion and floral designer, as well as a visual brand manager and event planner. He traveled the world to help create lasting memories for his clients' special occasions. He gave freely of his time and talents to all who knew him, and his sense of humor was legendary.
Chris was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Mary and Orestes DeCavalcanti, and his nephew, Mark Willis. He is survived by his beloved parents, Carmen P. and Mary B. (DeCavalcanti) DeSimone, his loving siblings and their spouses, Denise (Stephen) Willis, Randy (Taina) DeSimone, Scott (Elaine) DeSimone, David (Sarah) DeSimone, and Jennifer (Tom) Mesk. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, aunts, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 29th, at 1:00 pm at Nativity Catholic Church, 5220 Johnson Street, Hollywood.
