

Curtis was raised in a home that believed in God and thus he received his introduction to the Gospel by attending the St. Paul Anglican Church in Barbary Hall, Jamaica.
As the last child he was doted upon by his father who affectionately called him "Man-u" as he was his little man. Curtis was most often seen with his father on trips to the various pastures to check on the animals. He was an exceptional athlete and excelled at cricket. He was so good, rival teams tried to recruit him.
He received his primary education from Hopewell and Burnt Savanna Primary Schools, and his secondary education from Newell Secondary School. He later attended Black River Training Center, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, where he learned and mastered the trade of plumbing. Upon graduating, his first job as a plumber was at Elim Agricultural School.
In 1980, Curtis first met and fell in love with his future wife Veronica. In November 1980, Curtis immigrated to the United States. He resided with his sister Lorna in the Bronx, New York. The following year, he relocated to Florida where he lived with his sister Clover. After living with Clover, his fianc Veronica soon joined him in Florida they were joined in holy matrimony in June, 1983; they were blessed with 3 children, Germain, Gabrielle, and Isabella.
Curtis lived and worked for his wife and children, they were his world. He was a hands on father and dedicated husband. Veronica and Curtis are true soul mates and their spirits will always be one.
Curtis was gainfully employed with J.A. Croson as a plumbing superintendent. He later became self-employed when he formed his own company.
On October 5, 2015 an Angel was recalled to Heaven. Although his family's hearts are heavy, Curtis is at peace with our Father, Almighty God.
He is survived by his wife Veronica, son Germain; 2 daughters, Gabrielle and Isabella; 1 grand - daughter Dejina; 5 sisters, Dor, Lorna, Dapsy, Clover, Pansy; 2 brothers, Roy and Tan; uncle, Derrick, mother-in-law Enid, Father-in-law Crofton, Sisters-in-law, Brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
