Dayaram was born on July 1, 1937. He lived in Punagam, India with his wife Parvati and three children Dilip (Dan), Manesh (Manny) and Shila. In India, he was a farmer and very well respected in his community. He really cared for his family and people in his hometown.
In 1979, he moved with his family to the United States. He went through really tough times, but came through, and had a good life with his family.
He started his first motel business in 1982 in Indiana. In 1987, he moved to Hollywood, Florida where he bought another motel and since then he and his family have grown their business.
He enjoyed food, family, and helping people out. He had a strong personality but a very soft heart and would give his last penny to help someone in need. He loved animals and kids.
