Debbie was a wonderful sister in Christ and a joy to know. Her love for God and his people was evident to all she encountered. She touched many people with her ability to explain God's word in simple language. I'm grateful for the friendship we shared over the years and will miss her warmth. Her words of wisdom will remain with me, including the last words she shared when I saw her just days before she passed: Hymn 46 - Lord Jesus, Lead, O lead me lest I stray: Hold Thou my hand!...Guide Thou my feet; oh, let me never stray! May your soul rest in peace.

Inspirational Words Shared By Deborah To Her Aunt and Uncle 9/1/1991"There is no substitute for Truth! I like the thought from John 2: Because there was co-operation with Jesus, a great miracle was performed. And it takes the same among us today to see miracles performed in our day. Also appreciated this from Matt 16:18 "....the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Gates of hell being gates of Zion corrupted. The Lord loved the gates of Zion where elders and judges sat and wrongs were made right. SET THRONES OF JUDGEMENT WERE FOUND THERE. NOT THRONES OF SET JUDGEMENT! Have to listen to both sides of a matter and see why it happened before passing judgement. Gates of Zion became gates of hell ( corruption); ( but some stood true) and one woman left her little son behind in Samuel's day! It's the prevention and not the cure! It's the fear of God that stops us before we fall in the ditch. The Lord build His house on the rock of revelation. Some people are as solid today as they were at the beginning because they received that revelation.

So many wonderful memories of growing up in Chapel Hill with my dear friend Deborah, never knowing that I would be part of her family one day. Her kind, gentle nature was what drew people to her. We took French in school together from 4th grade through high school. We were fierce competitors. She got to use hers in all her travels. Those years and memories are truly cherished, and many. Rest in peace my dear friend, you stayed true to your calling, now you can rest with the Lord.

To know Deborah was to love her. I grew up with her as a school mate and spent many days with her, her cousins and GRANDMA. i was almost like another sibling because I was at their house so much.. I often thought of her after she attended to her mission and career path. I will always hold her dear in my heart. GRANDMA would be proud of all you accomplished and for holding to your faith and life mission. Life is certainly better in many ways because of your dedication. Rest in peace dear sister. Your sweet smile and disposition will be missed.

We didn't have the privilege of knowing Ms Deborah but we have heard of her faithful yrs of labor for His lost souls. Thankful she was a true servant to the end.

Scrabble memories are even more joyous with the memories of Deborah's stories about her grandmother, growing up, Africa, or just different experiences. I hear them in my heart throughout my days. Her wisdom was deep. Her heart was warm. Her words were kind. She is missed.

There is sadness but there is also much joy. I have wonderful memories of our time together through the years. I am glad that through all the changing scenes of life, in sorrow and in joy Debbie's faith stood firm and she shared that faith whenever the opportunity presented itself. I will forever remember how she always included the children. She was patient and took time to encourage, protect and show them how much she loved them. My hope is that her life will continue to inspire me to do my best. Rest well my dear sister.

As I sit here with a tear in my eye. I realize that, they are tears of joy and not sorrow. I truly believe that Deborah is in God's loving care. Deborah gave me the remedy to anything I asked her. I remember when I was as sick as I had ever been in life. I called Deborah and told her what I thought was ailing me. She gave me instructions step by step. I followed each step to the letter. It wasn't very long before I was well again. I had so much belief in everything she said. It was something in her eyes and the way she looked at you, that you knew you needed to pay close attention, believe and take heed. She was so very inspirational in me excepting "TRUTH" and for that I am grateful. I will miss our conversations of how she would surprise my mom with one of her yearly visits. Picking her up at the airport was such a joy, I knew I would get an overload of spiritual information all for me. I thank God for sending someone as tenacious as Deborah into my life. My dearest sister Debbie --One-of-a-kind in every way! My Mom's daughter and my dear sister!! Deb knew what to prescribe in order to cure whatever was ailing you -- naturally or spiritually! Be it herbs, Noni Juice, a massage with hot rocks, or taking it to the Lord in prayer -- Deb knew what to advise! Her wit, charm, warmth, strength and determination could not be dimmed even during her most difficult days. Deb loved God and his people, and even those who were seeking for something better. She spread Truth to anyone with an ear to hear. She used her broad knowledge of life like a parable -- to paint a vivid picture of what God holds out to those who surrender to Him. Deb's was like the energizer bunny, as she could go from one task to another without missing a beat!. As I gaze across the computer screen at her picture, I hear her voice in strong, yet gentle tones! I hear that beautiful voice singing God's songs! We will surely miss her, but are so blessed to have had her in our lives. Now, she's resting in His everlasting arms! A battle very well fought ...

Deborah was my daughter, I will always have fond memories of our many travels to many parts of the U.S., including St. Thomas, St. Croix, and Cayman Island.And the joy I had visiting her in her home in Ft. Lauderdale. I will miss her calls to and from work each day. Her examples of faith in God, her encouragement and her spirituality have been an inspiration to me and many others. Debbie. wonderful memories remain of our friendship and fellowship in the Truth over many years - visits in the F.W.I., preps at Scrabble, even before I was in the Work, visiting around N.Y. city; Special Mtgs in Ontario/Quebec 1994; and visits in FL since you are there. Deborah was always a kind and loving person! When she was a sister worker, she loved you as you were, never judging and scolding. If she saw the need for growth in you, she was ever so gentle in her approach to redirecting. After she returned from Africa she had so many of her experiences to share and encouragement to increase our 'faith'.When she would step to the platform, you knew you were going to hear something that would edify your soul. Gone but never, ever forgotten. I am so thankful that she was a part of my growing us years,and my life. She was one to build up, not discourage and tear down. I love you Debbie and will never forget you..

When I think of Debbie, I reflect on how much her life reflected the words and expectations of Jesus in Matthew 5. As everyone has, can, and will echo, she was the epitome of righteousness. My fondest memory of Debbie was during her labor in NY in the early 90s when she gathered the teenagers under her wings, encouraging socialization/interaction outside of fellowship meetings. She was like a hen gathering her chicks under her wings to keep them safe from harm.  I too, was endeared by her non-judgmental mannerism. Whether the sheep was in the fold or had wandered beyond the confines of the fold, there was no difference in how she related to or treated them. She demonstrated the same love, acceptance, and encouragement to all. I was glad to be able spend time with her during her final days, to hear her voice--her stories one last time, see her smile, ask her questions to get clarification on some things, and tell her what a great encouragement she was and how much she was loved. Noteworthy and inspirational is how she continued to be a light, pointing souls to the truth, at the hospice during her last days, even as her strength and breath ebbed. Her zeal was such an encouragement and awe-inspiring. Her attitude inspires others to give of their best. Several of her aides also aptly noted, that her spirit was such an inspiration. It's truly an encouragement to witness the testimony of her life, in our day. This friend-mother-aunt-cousin-daughter-best friend-grandmother-neighbor-sister will sorely be missed, but we trust that God's will is ALWAYS best. We'll take comfort in the fact that hers was a life well spent in the service of the Lord. We'll miss you Deb, but will hold fast to the hope that we'll meet again.

I enjoyed wonderful fellowship with Debbie over the years. When my sister,Karen and I as teenagers went to Quakertown Conv, I remember how Debbie and her cousin took us under their wings and nurtured and cared for us. We wrote over the years but last year while in Fl for a few weeks Debbie and I enjoyed a renewed fellowship again and my son and friends and I loved her massages and our times in Meetings and her favorite eating place after meetings on Sunday- Olive Gardens. On Good Friday last, I enjoyed spending the afternoon with her while passing through to join a EC Cruise; and although I went to cheer her up I was the one who left feeling like I was in heaven. Deb was truly at peace with her Maker and ready to depart this world - but never complained and I shall always remember her lovely singing and infectious laughter. We shall miss her but glad she is in a better place.

Great Memories of Debra goes back to when she and Fern and Sherdinia were in our parts. A special lady has now gone on to her reward. Deborah will be missed, but not forgotton.

I don't think I have every met Deborah, but I would wantto have the same testimony that she had when they saidshe loved the Lord with all of her heart---and to have some say that I cared about others!!!!! Thank you toevery one who knew her, and loved her. Ruth Aller

I am so glad for our sweet memories of Deborah. Vernon and I always loved hearing of her experiences.

Such wonderful memories of Deborah having Gospel Meetings in our home and the wonderful privileges of having her stay with us. Deborah was so good to our Children. We remember those very sweet days and the wonderful Gospel story. It was always a privilege to visit through the years with Deborah as many have mentioned it was always a helpful experience spiritually. Glad for her great example to be earnest in every thing she set out to do. With a thankful heart and a sadness of Deborah leaving all of us and a joyful happiness for her final destination to be with Our Heavenly Father, we can say good-bye.

Thank you Deb, you wete an inspiration to me for years & glad each time to get a letter from you when you labored in Texas. The very mention of your name's still very encoraging. Thank for being a part of my growing up years in NM.

I remember the 1st time I met Debra at Quakertown. She was 12. Such a sweet young lady. She had such love for God. Thankful for her sacrificial life, willingly lovingly teaching the word of God to others
