

Dilip Thakurdas Mehra, a devoted family man and pioneering entrepreneur, passed away on the 1st of December, 2024, at his home in Pembroke Pines, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on the 15th of February, 1948, in Mumbai, India, Dilip's journey was one marked by unwavering love, passion, and dedication in every facet of his life.
Dilip is lovingly remembered by his wife of over 29 years, Rita Mehra, and their children Aneel and Sunil Mehra, daughters-in-law Dana and Amber Mehra, as well as his cherished grandchildren Matthew and Taylor Mehra. His memory will also be honored by others in the Mehra, Khushalani, Lulla, and Belani families, all of whom he touched deeply throughout his life.
Dilip's professional life began in sales where he quickly established a name for himself as a GIA-certified jeweler. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to join forces with his wife, Rita, to launch a successful fashion import/export business in Miami, which they operated with love and dedication until his retirement in 2011.
Dilip's passion for the Bollywood film industry was well-known, as he was involved in movie production early in his life and relished its movies and music with great enthusiasm.
As Mahatma Gandhi once said, "Where there is love there is life." Dilip embodied this sentiment, infusing life with love and leaving behind a legacy of joy and kindness. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of those he has left behind.
