Ms. Dixie Mae Berglund

Dixie Mae Sharp Berglund, age 96, of North Miami Beach, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday evening July 31, 2025. Dixie was born on January 28, 1929 in Jacksonville, Missouri, to Edward and Ethel Eggers. At the age of two, unfortunate circumstances left Dixie without her parents. She was raised by Anna and Ramsey Foster, who Dixie lovingly called Mama and Papa.

Dixie married her beloved husband, Paul Revere Berglund, on November 24, 1949. She was a devoted wife and loving mom to her three sons. Dixie enjoyed homemaking and was a member of Fulford United Methodist Church for over 60 years where she was president of the United Methodist Women for many years. She stayed very active in many church activities and love to sing in choir every Sunday morning.

Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Revere Berglund. She has survived by her son, Scott Berglund (Leslie) of Boone, North Carolina, son Paige Berglund (Marta) of Illinois, and son Clint Berglund of North Miami Beach, Florida, three grandchildren, Kelly Smith (Casey) of Tallahassee, Florida, Emily Warrenburg (Ryan) of Boone, North Carolina, and Kimberly, Berglund, of Tampa, Florida. Dixie is also survived by her seven great grandchildren, Scarlet and Isaac Smith, Jude, Quinn, and Dean, Warrenburg, and Jalissa and Jonah Berglund.

The family wishes to extend a special “thank you“ to the staff of Pinecrest Rehabilation Center in North Miami, Florida and Vitas Healthcare (hospice) for their many acts of kindness, compassion, and care of Dixie and her family.
