Dolores B. Colletti

Dorie was born in Teaneck, New Jersey to Michael and Cecelia Barrett.  She attended Fort Lee High School where she met and then later married Michael Colletti, her husband of 68 years.  She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  

To mark her 80th birthday she chose to go sky diving and did a tandem jump from 13,000 feet, along with her daughter Dawn, son-in-law Jeff, granddaughter Kristin, and grandson Douglas.  

Dolores is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Colletti Jr. and her sons, Gary Colletti and Michael Colletti III.

Dolores is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Dawn and Jeffrey Ghizzoni, grandchildren Michael Colletti IV, Mark Colletti, Douglas Ghizzoni and Kristin Ghizzoni along with 7 great grandchildren. 

A short memorial will be held at 10 am on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, Hollywood Memorial Gardens, Hollywood, Florida followed by a Catholic mass at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church, Hollywood.  

The family of Dolores Colletti wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Vitas Hospice of Rockledge Florida and the staff at Zon Beachside Assisted Living for all their help and support over the last few weeks. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her favorite charity, St Jude Children’s hospital or to her home parish, St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Vero Beach, FL.
