Dolores was born in the Bronx to Ida Miller and Walter Wilde. She graduated from Catholic Diocese School and lived in the Bronx where she met and married her late husband, Gaetano Polidoro, a WWII Veteran. Relocating to sunny Florida in 1979, Dolores wanted to be near her sister, Doris, family and friends.
Dolores, who was feisty and full of life, will be remembered for being "cute and fashionable!" She enjoyed dancing, decorating, celebrating life, shopping the malls, special conversations with family and friends, prayers of comfort, and wonderful times spent with her niece, Debbie Banner. Being the "life of the party" was second nature to Dolores! Additionally, Dolores loved caring for her dogs, most recently, her devoted Scottish Terrier, Skye. Her pets brought her great joy and satisfaction.
Dolores is survived by nephews, Robert and Raymond, and nieces, Barbara, Kathleen, Annette, Debbie, and Rhonda.
Visitation service will be held at Fred Hunter Funeral Homes, 6301 Taft St., Hollywood, Fla, Wed., Nov. 13th, from 4p.m. to 8p.m. and a Celebration of Life Service, held at Church of the Little Flower, 1805 Pierce St., Hollywood, Fla., Thurs., Nov. 14th, at 11a.m.
In celebrating the life of Dolores Polidoro, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Humane Society of Broward County.
