Donna Marie Tougas

Donna Tougas Shuart grew up in Easthampton, MA, where she graduated from Easthampton High School, making lifelong friends everywhere she went. Later Donna moved to Florida meeting her husband while working with PUBLIX supermarkets in the meat department in 1991. It was love at first sight, and they got married the very same year. Some short four years later, their only child together was born, and they named him Dylan Alan Shuart. She was a person from that point forward a devoted mother and wife. She watched over her child like a hawk until Dylan's first day of school where she cried when he just waived good bye and walked away. She would then show the artistic side with the job of the elementary school's bulletin board, and showed her emotion and care with the pieces of art work. Not all was butterflies and rainbows when she was struck with the condition of breast cancer. She did not let that slow her down. In fact, it seemed to drive her even more, like a marathon runner closing in on the finish line. She only missed a handful of days with her current job at Einstein's bagels while fighting this disease. While working at Einstein's bagels, she also, on the select weekends, would sell at flea markets, where she would come to meet many friends who would come to be her second family. She would care about them as if they where her children. Unfortunately, the illness would catch up to her, tragically taking her life on Sunday July 17, 2016, at the young age of 52. She is survived by her Husband Glenn Shuart, Son Dylan Shuart , Mother Alice Tougas, Sisters Elaine Lefebvre and Brenda Krumpholz, and Brother Duffy Tougas. Her legacy will live on with each and every life that she touched, and she will watch over each and every one of us for the end of times.
