

Doris M. "Dee" Jenkins, 86, of Dania Beach, FL passed away August 7, 2015. Doris was a Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and aunt. She was born May 9th, 1929 in Miami Florida and passed away in Tampa, FL on August 7, 2015 from Alzheimer's disease. Doris was one of eleven children who had all predeceased her. She is now joining God, her mother and father, all her siblings and friends in peaceful heaven. Doris is survived by her three loving children and their spouses; Dianne and Larry Chesser, Harry Lee and Colleen Jenkins, Bob and Judy Jenkins. Also by four grand children; Chad Chesser, Kristi Grimm, Ben and Josie Jenkins. In addition her three great grandchildren; Ciara Irizarry, Kayla Chesser and Shawn-Michael Blank. Her love to Shana and Reiner Blank, Oscar Irizarry and Robert Grimm, niece Linda Kleindienst, nephew Al Thomas and all the other nieces and nephews. She had several cherished friends whom she loved very much and had shared many good times and laughs with. They had given her the nickname "Dee" which she used during her lifetime. Dee was a generous person with a big heart and donated to several charities. If anyone ever needed anything, she was always there to help out. During her life she had jobs at Miami Springs Realty and Westward Realty and was a bartender at the Miami International Airport for several years, both jobs of which she liked and was good at.
She loved God, Music, sunsets, clouds, and Elvis. He was her Man! Her favorite place was Marco Island, her much loved and tranquil retreat. She had purchased a timeshare at the "Eagles Nest" 28 years ago for family and friends to enjoy. Her family was the love of her life and she cherished them all greatly. She was loved by everyone who knew her and may she now rest in peace with the love of the LORD. WE LOVE YOU MOM!
Services will be held at Fred Hunter's University Drive Home, 2401 S. University Drive, Davie, on Saturday, August 22 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm with a service at 3:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
