Dorothy S. (Spencer) Flynn, 75, of Oakland Park, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 2, 2012. Dorothy was born in Liverpool, England on November 12, 1936, a daughter of Henry R. and Josephine (Gaskell) Spencer. She visited the United States many times and settled in Hollywood, Florida in 1970. Dorothy loved her family and also her second family at Benham Security where she worked for the past eleven years as administrative assistant. When she was hired by Ken Rush, he was made aware that she would be running the place in a matter of days, and she did. She also loved to shop in her spare time. Dorothy is survived by her beloved four sons, John (Many) Flynn, Peter (Iris) Flynn, Keith (Lynn) Flynn, Joe (Nadine) Flynn; loving grandchildren Shane Rex Flynn, John Patrick Flynn, Sean Michael Flynn, Dakota Flynn, Caitlyn and Mia Flynn. Also survived by her former husband, John Flynn, four brothers, Harry, Jimmy, Derek, Roy, three sisters, Val, Pauline and Irene and several nieces and nephews. Visitation on Saturday, January 14th from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 followed by a Celebration of Dorothy's Life beginning 4:00 P.M. at Fred Hunter's Downtown Fort Lauderdale Chapel, 718 South Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale.
