

On the morning of October 1, 2022, Edward C. Curtis of Hollywood, FL passed away at the age of 95. Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Vera Curtis, Sister, Mary Ann Rossi, his devoted wife of 64 years, Henrietta and cherished cat Molly. He is survived byhis 3 sons, Edward III, John and James, grandchildren, Daniel (Sarah), Andrew and Grace, and great grand children, Zachary, Eliana and Owen, beloved niece Kathy (Tom) Alpren and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was born and raised in Kankakee, IL and loved playing the trumpet and big band music. He served in the US Navy during World War II then went on to Dartmouth College graduating in the class of 1948. In July 1952, he married Henrietta Boughman. He went to work in the finance business eventually moving to Hollywood, FL in 1957 where he managed Hollywood Finance Corporation for over 40 years.Edward was an avid Miami Dolphins fan having season tickets since their inaugural season. He also loved golf and fishing and was known for his good sense of humor. He was a faithful Christian who raised his children at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood where he served as a deacon, treasurer and elder. He was also a longtime member of local civic organizations including the Kiwanis Club, Committee 100, and the Junto Club of Hollywood.
A grave side service will be held at Fred Hunter’s Hollywood Memorial Gardens on December 1, 2022 at 11:00 am, all are welcome.In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood Deacons Ministries Fund, 1530 Hollywood Blvd. Hollywood, FL 33021 or to the charity of your choice.
