Emeline was born in St. Marc, Haiti to Felix and Marie Therese Bonhomme on November 24, 1955. After immigrating to the United States in the 1970s she attended Erasmus High School and Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, New York. She worked for over 20 years in the human resources department at ABC and after retiring she followed her dream and moved to Florida. There she entered a new career in healthcare as a certified nursing assistant at both the Cleveland Clinic Weston and Memorial Hospital where her love and passion for helping others was able to shine through. She admired her co-workers and the patients she cared for.
Emeline had a dream of going to Costa Rica. A couple of months before her untimely passing, Emeline was able to fulfill this dream and spent a week there. In true Emeline fashion, she couldn’t wait to tell anyone who would listen about her trip.
She is survived by her husband Eddy, sons Eddy Jr. and Kevin, daughter-in-law Cherese, mother Marie Therese (Mommy Yote), grandchildren Jayden and Joshua, as well as her sisters Carine, Miriam, Dominique, and Collette. She deeply cared for her family and lived her life in the service of others while walking in the path of the Lord. Emeline loved the Lord and we know that she is resting peacefully in His arms. She will be eternally missed.
