At the tender age of 19 he became a foreman for the construction of a hotel in Montego Bay. Because of his talents in reading plans and supervising, his supervisor sent him to Aruba and other small islands to build.
He later migrated to Nassau, Bahamas where he met and married Sylvia Marriott. In 1981, he met and remarried Cresent Marriott who has stood faithfully by him until he passed.
He leaves behind his 12 children, Patricia, Opal, Lavern, Angela, Wendy, Ricardo, Derrick, Alex, Kelly, Atasha, Grace, and Gary; three brothers, Eric, Connie, and Loxley; one sister, Edna; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
