

Born in Fall River, MA on July 25, 1919, Frank was the son of the late Frank and Ermina (Braga) Ferreira. Raised and educated in Fall River, Frank played soccer as a child and young man. He also was a member of the St. Michael's Club in Falls River. On February 2, 1952, Frank was married to Edith Walsh. Together Frank and Edith shared an amazing union filled with a rare deep mutual love for each other. Their union was built upon sacrafice and the well being of their family. Frank worked as a truck driver for many years for Sterling Beverage in MA. After his retirement and relocation to Florida, Frank worked at the day shift at the Dania Pier where he enjoyed fishing. A loving, devoted and loyal man, Frank's utmost priority in his life was the well being of his family. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the focus of his joy and he instilled in them the value and traditions of family and patriotism.
Frank is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Francine Jackson and Charles A. Favillo; his grandchildren, Charlese Uribe, Chad Berardino and Kathyrn Jackson; his great grandchildren, Melody Haughn and Mason Berardino; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and his sister-in-law, Myra Ferreira. He was predeceased by his siblings, John Ferreira, Mary Medeiros and Rose Souza.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 5:00 - 8:00 at the Fred Hunter Funeral Home 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. Frank's funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Friday morning September 11, 2015 at 10:00 at St. David's Catholic Church 3900 South University Drive, Davie.
