

George Solomon Albury, Jr. at age 74 peacefully passed away on September 30th in Davie Florida. He was born in Miami, Florida at Jackson Memorial on October 18, 1946 and graduated Miami Edison High School and then joined the Marines.
George was married to Amelia Scarpati Albury his wife of 52 years. He was predeceased by his Mother Mae Brooks Albury and his Father George Solomon Albury Sr., his Brothers Bert Cook, and Robert Cook, his Sisters Elizabeth Wade, Margie Humbert, Alfreda Russell, and Caroline Bounds.
He moved to Brooklyn New York where he married Amelia and worked at Pine Sash and Door with his brother-n-law Joseph DeBrito. He later moved to Miami, Florida with his wife and his daughter Jeanette and twin sons Kenneth and Richard where he started a screening business. When they were living in Cutler Ridge he coached his sons at Perrine Khoury League where the boys played baseball. Eventually they moved to Davie, Florida where he retired.
He was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure Church in Davie, Florida. He loved to fish and to be on the water. His love of fishing passed on to his grandson Nicholas as they spent many days fishing together. He was extremely proud of his Grandson who gave him much joy. George was an avid sports fan and spent every chance he had watching his beloved Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes. He was loved by all his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Amelia, daughter Jeanette Crumbo, Sons Kenneth Albury and Richard Albury, His Grandson Nicholas George Crumbo and his Sister Wanda Stalvey. His brother-in-law John Scarpati and his sister-in-law Maureen Scarpati and his Sister-in-law Agnes DeBrito-Fisher and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Fred Hunters, 2401 South University Drive, Davie, Florida 33324 on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 4 PM to 8 PM and The Funeral Mass is at St. Bonaventure Church, 1301 SW 136th Avenue, Davie Florida 33325 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers a donation to St. Jude’s Children Hospital in George’s name would be appreciated.
