‘The King’ as he was affectionately known, was born in Kingston, Jamaica on April 11, 1925. He graduated from Excelsior High School and continued his studies in Land Surveying.
George was married to Cecille on August 15, 1964; they were married for almost 60 years.
George worked at the Land Valuation Office in Kingston, Jamaica for several years until his retirement. He was a dedicated member of the St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Jamaica, Cooper City Church of God in Cooper City, Florida and distinguished member of the “Lodge” in Jamaica.
George is survived by his wife, Cecille, daughters, Barbara, Pauline, Germaine and Debbie, grandsons, Brian and Scott, granddaughters, Daron and Kristine, granddaughter-in-law, Cindy, great grandson Bryce and great granddaughter Lexi, beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
George is preceded in death by his parents and 7 siblings.
The family of George Scott wishes to thank his caregivers, Arlene, Brian (his grandson), Alecia, Ann, Yvonne, Sheila and Damian (his barber) who provided outstanding care to the King. Special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Suite who transported him to church every Sunday in recent years. The family also wishes to extend their gratitude for the immeasurable outpouring of love and support from their loved ones and friends during this difficult time.
