Gregory was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Richard & Marilyn Sutherland on April 30, 1954. He went to school in Ft. Lauderdale. He married Laura Jacobs on February 19, 1993 in Ft. Lauderdale. He graduated from the University of Florida with a B. S. in Environmental Science. He worked for City of Sunrise for 38 years, finishing his career as Director of Operations for Utilities.
Gregory is preceded in death by his parents Marilyn & Richard Sutherland. He is survived by his wife Laura Sutherland, son Matthew Sutherland, daughter in-law Rachel Sutherland, sister Sue Byfield, brothers in-law Fred Byfield and Mike Jacobs, sisters in-law Karen Jacobs and Barbara Marczak, brother in-law Greg Marczak, grandchildren Madison Sutherland and Joshua Sutherland and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home, 2401 S. University Drive, Davie, FL. Arrangements by Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home.
