Yanowitch, Harold M., 96, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Pacifica Senior Living at Forest Trace in Lauderhill. Formerly of Boca Raton, FL and Boston, MA. Harold was born November 25, 1919 in Rochester, NY to Louis and Ida Dorothy (Sykes) Yanowitch. He was an Air Force Veteran of WWII, received his undergraduate from the University of Rochester and then graduated from Harvard Law School. He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly Jean (Simpson) Yanowitch; children, Richard Yanowitch (Wendy) of San Francisco, CA, Lisa Siegel (Randy) of Scarsdale, NY, Lawrence Yanowitch (Natalia) of North Arlington, VA, Wendy Feher (Michael) of London, England and Peter Yanowitch (Erin) of Miami, FL; 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his four legged furry friends, Rudy and Sammy, his parents, Louis and Ida and brother, Robert.
The family will receive friends at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 718 S. Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale 33316 on Monday, February 1, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home Chapel.
