Janet received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of the Incarnate Word and her Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan. She spent the majority of her career as a public health nurse in Pennsylvania and Florida. She was a devoted member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Family and friends were Janet's passion and delight. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Stephen and Thomas, and nephew Stephen Thomas. She moved from Hollywood, Florida to Gainesville, Florida in 2003 to be close to family.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Nancy Ryan, niece Kathleen Ryan (Peter), nephews Sean Ryan (Marsha) and William Ryan (Lisa), niece-in-law Heidi Ryan, and grandnephews and grandnieces Chris, Alex, Leslie, Kelly, Corey, Susie and Bobby. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends. An entombment service will be held on Friday, May 1 at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Gardens 6301 Taft Street in Hollywood, Florida at 2:00 p.m.
