

Jean Joseph Felix, of Kissimmee, FL, passed away on January 28th, 2026 in Kissimmee. Jean Joseph was affectionately known as Papi, J.J., Joe, Papa, Felix, Uncle Joe, Petit Frere, Jobie, Jean, Fefe, Chico and Ernest.
Jean Joseph was born in Jeremie, Haiti to Pauline & Richard on February 11, 1949. He was raised and educated in Jeremie. He married Sheila Jordan in 1976 in Boston, MA. He was later remarried to Carmen Nosistel in 1996 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Jean Joseph Felix is preceded in death by (his parents Pauline Alexandre and Richard Felix, and his siblings Jean Marie Alexandre and Marie Bernarde Caze.
Jean Joseph is survived by his children - Laura Felix, De Ann Felix-Allen (Brent), Sarah Felix and Ali Felix; Siblings - Pierre Andre Alexandre and Jean Hollie Felix; Grandchildren - Cailel, Malachi, L’Amoure, Ezra, Mayeson, Khingston, Breighlen, Zayeleigh Charleze, Kibiany, Hendrix Maverick and Nyrah;
Nephews & Nieces - Wilkenson, James (Ketsia), Neeck, Dean Chislene (Jean), Clifton (Manoucheka), Jean Marc (Rachel), Pierre Luc (Mylene), Gabrielle (Christian), Richard (Joey-Ann), Jeremy (Danielle), Marc Howard, Thamara, Alexandra, Stephane, Olivia, Christian, and a host of cousins, great nieces, great nephews and close friends.
At 17, Jean Joseph left Haiti and moved to Montreal, Quebec in Canada. There, he attended college and graduated from Object if Horlogerie in Montreal, where he earned his Masters of Horology. He harmoniously learned and became a Master Diamond Setter and Gemologist. He also studied art while in college and enjoyed painting in his spare time. Jean Joseph brought his own flare when painting and creating some traditional Haitian artworks. Jean Joseph later moved his family to Fort Lauderdale, FL in 1982, where he worked as an (Independent Jeweler and Watchmaker) for 45+ years. He thoroughly enjoyed enhancing his knowledge and would study for many long hours about Earth Space Science and Human Anatomy. He was deeply knowledgeable in natural remedies, healthy lifestyles and became a Certified Reflexologist. After moving to Kissimmee, FL, he spent the better part of his later years using these specific skills to help others however he could. Jean Joseph was baptized in 1971 at the age of 27 and remained a faithful servant as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses until his passing. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, our beloved father was devoted to introducing many others to the Truth, including his own children. Jean Joseph was a musician and played the acoustic guitar and was an avid lover of many genres of music. He enjoyed entertaining and would often plan excursions with his family and members of his congregations to adventurous destinations. Jean Joseph used his artistic expertise coupled with his jewelry making skillsets and specialized in custom jewelry pieces, including personalized wedding ring sets and his beloved “Watchtower” pin.
Felix was a very loving and involved father, uncle and grandfather. He actively took part in the upbringing of his children, nieces and nephews and grandchildren. He became a father figure to many friends of all walks of life.
A Memorial service will be held 12 PM EST, Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 at (Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 433 SW 20th Ave. Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. Arrangements are by Fred Hunter funeral home.
