Jeanne Anne Busch

Jeanne Ann Busch, 58, of North Lindenhurst, New York, passed away on December 5, 2023, in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Jeannie, as she preferred to be called, had a vibrant personality and touched the lives of many.

Jeannie dedicated 14 years of her life to teaching at Gateway Charter School in Fort Myers, FL. Her passion for education and her commitment to her students made her an exceptional teacher and a friend to many co-workers. She inspired young minds and left a lasting impact on the school community. 

Outside of her career, Jeannie had a zest for life. She was an avid marathon runner, always pushing herself to achieve new goals. Running brought her a sense of accomplishment and allowed her to challenge herself physically and mentally. Jeannie also had a deep love for the beach. She cherished the peaceful moments spent by the ocean, finding solace in its beauty and tranquility. Additionally, Jeannie aka #catmom, had a soft spot for cats and enjoyed their companionship.

Jeannie is survived by her beloved family members: William F Busch III, Fred Wirt, Laura Wirt, Carrie Rieble and Danielle Busch. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen M Busch, and her father, William F Busch Jr. Jeannie's presence will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family of Jeanne Busch wishes to extend our deepest thanks and appreciation to her best friend Candace Hamilton, for a lifetime of love & support to Jeannie and fulfilling her request in providing her final comforting place. We also sincerely thank the faculty and teachers at Gateway Charter School for providing Jeannie their friendship, love & support throughout her years teaching at this school. She loved her job and the people who surrounded her immensely.

Per Jeannie’s wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers or other donations, please donate to your local no-kill animal shelter in her name.
