Angel Jesus Benitez, 59, of Hollywood, Florida passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Jesus was born in Sactual, Cuba on December 25, 1952, the son of Angel and Elsa (Romay) Benitez. He and his family came to the United States, settling in Florida in 1966.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Elsa (Romay) Benitez, three loving daughters, Christina Reyes, Michelle (Matt) Benitez-Davis and Lisette Quintana, two sisters, Barbara Roglieri, Cindy Benitez and six dear grandchildren, Jaime, Jillian, Haily, Nina, Dayna and Jonathan. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Angel Benitez.
Visitation on Monday, February 13th from 5:00 ~ 9:00 P.M at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, 2401 South University Drive (at Nova) in Davie with a prayer service and rosary beginning at 7:30 P.M. Father Pablo Alverez will officiate. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will be private.
