Powers, Joan F., 85, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2015. Joan entered the gates of heaven to join parents, Meta Marie & Francis and siblings, Frank, Mary, Walter, Rita, Ruth, Nori, Anne, Edward and Jack. Joan was fearless, feisty & loyal with a beautiful smile & blue eyes.
Born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, she also lived in Manhattan & Spring Lake, NJ. In 2006, Joan settled in Ft. Lauderdale to be near family, Maribeth Powers Moody (Lester III) and Jack Powers, Jr. (Cora) along with her great-niece Alexandra Weber (David) & their children. Joan had a long career as an RN & was head surgical nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital, NY.
A private Mass & services will be in Spring Lake, NJ. The family wishes to thank Beth Wilson, Ana Spagnolo & Vitas Hospice for their kind care.
